About Tara
Tara Zimliki is a Certified Personal Trainer and founder of Tara’s Bootcamp, the Premiere Bootcamp of New Jersey. She has completed 19 marathons, hundreds of 5ks and has trained with top athletes at the University of South Carolina where she was awarded a full cross country scholarship. Tara has a degree from Rutgers University and specializes in fat loss and nutrition. In 2005, Tara ran the NYC Marathon while 8 months pregnant with her 2nd daughter, Ella.
In 2008, Tara placed in the top 500 women for the NYC Marathon. And in 2011, Tara ran the NYC Marathon 6 months pregnant with her 3rd baby, Brent. Tara has been featured on many television segments including Fox, WPIX, NJ 12 and written dozens of articles on health. Tara was also featured in Prevention’s book, The List Maker’s Guide. Hello and thank you for visiting my site, for tips on health and fitness and how you too can be a fun and fit mother! Now let me tell you a little more about myself and why I created this site. I am an extremely fit and fun mom of 7year old Ava, 5 year Ella and 8 month old Brent. I exercised with each of my children to the very day I delivered. In fact I even ran the NYC marathon 8months pregnant with Ella and 6 months pregnant with Brent. And on the very day I delivered Brent I taught and exercised in two of my bootcamp classes leading the group to one of their best workouts. And then I went to the hospital to deliver my son, Brent! I began exercising at the young age of 7, did many team sports through middle school and high school and then ran on a full scholarship for USC.
When I got married and had children I found life more difficult to squeeze workouts in but I made in work and found time. Whether I am running at 4am, teaching a bootcamp class or playing a game of soccer with my family I always find time to be fit and have fun in the process.
I love life and cherish each day with my 3 children, my husband, Brian and my Yorkshire terrier, Alexis. I feel very blessed for everything in my life and you should too! I put 100% of my passion into everything I do as a parent, cleaning my home, cooking, leading a bootcamp class, training clients, writing articles and developing this site! I live each day to the fullest and in the process I am having a lot of fun! Fun Fit Mama was developed with many notes, letters and dreams to help you to be strong, fit, lean and have fun in this process.
