Breakfast fed, teeth brushed, dressed for school
with a hug and a kiss you hope they follow the rule,
Making sure not a hair is out of place
and not a crumb on the face.
The day has just begun,
And you hope they will have fun.
As the children get on the bus
You try not to make a fuss
You think of how much they have grown.
Each year seems to have flown.
And each stage of life keeps up pace.
Sometimes you feel it is a race
Where will they be in 10 years, you may think.
And with that your children
look out of the bus, you give a wink.
And what will they do?
Do they know how much it means when they say I love you
After they are fed,
the children are read to and tucked in their beds.
You plan the next day for your little ones
And hope they have fun…
