So often we make excuses that stand in our way from achieving our dreams. For example, ” I want to exercise but I just do not have the time.” Did you know that people that are the most successful just so happen to have the busiest lives? And they find time to exercise. How? They get rid of the excuses and they make time. They make time for what is important to them.
As I train for the NYC marathon and I find it difficult with 3 children, my own business, my writing, cooking, cleaning and everything in between, I realize I can find so many excuses to not train. But if I am standing at the starting line in November without the proper training, I am the one losing out. I need to make time, whether I am rising earlier or running later at night, I can find time. I decided to ditch the excuses and just do it. I would not want my children to make a million excuses so why should I? And so I am training for this great race, and this will be 20th marathon!!
So today I want you to make a list of all your dreams for your career, family life and fitness and then write a strategy in how you can achieve these dreams. And stop making excuses because you deserve better. Be the winner you have always wanted to be. It is all within you sometimes it just takes an inner push. Post this list in a visible place so this is a constant reminder of your path to achieving your dreams…
