Anyone that says sunshine brings them happiness has never danced in the rain. The amazing feeling of letting yourself go is a metaphor for life. Have fun, live with love and every now and then …let yourself go. This goes along with one of my favorite quotes by Vivian Greene, “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, It’s about dancing in the rain.” So before you knock it get outside and try this to see how amazing you will feel.
To live your life in this “dancing in the rain” element learn to let yourself go and:
1)Try a new activity. It can be trying roller skating, ice skating, skydiving, snow boarding or whatever else floats your boat. Just do not be afraid and let yourself go!
2)Go out without taking time to prep. Go out to the store and stay in your house sweats. Do not get dressed up for the store. Do not be afraid to just be you. I guarantee you look amazing in those sweats! By doing this you are teaching yourself it is not the clothes that make you but you make the clothes. Be proud of the person that you are and do not worry what others will think. Just be you! You are beautiful and amazing!
3) Join a new group. This can be a choir, local group, gardening, or any other group. Just do not be hesitant to join this group and commit to weekly or monthly meetings. This will help you learn to commit to something new and diversifying yourself.
4)Taste something new. Try a new smoothie or meal be creative. Do not be afraid to add some extra spice and a little love to your meal. Being creative adds flavor! And you never know, you may discover a meal you never even knew you would like!
Now that you have these tips do not forget to dance in the rain, live life being you and love all that you are and continue to be each day!
